Alleged Kidnapping: Akure Prophet, Sotitobire, Others Arraigned In Court, Remanded In Prison

The General overseer of Sotitobire miracle center Akure, Prophet Alfa Babatunde was today arraigned before An Akure magistrate’s court sitting at Oke-Eda on two counts of conspiracy and kidnapping of minor.

The Department of Security Service, DSS on Monday docked the clergyman after spending about 13days in the agency’s detention.

Prophet Babatunde was arraigned alongside six other defendants, Omodara Olayinka Margaret Oyebola ,Grace Ogunjobi, Egunjobi Motunrayo ,Esther Kayode and Peter Anjorin.

The arraignment was in connection with the disappearance of a one year old boy inside Sotitobire church in over 6 weeks ago.

However, the third count charge on the sheet says that one of the accused persons, Peter Anjorin, on the 10th December destroyed some vital evidences which the DSS had possessed to facilitate its allegation that Babatunde Alfa and his people truly stole the child.

Also, the charge sheet says that five other people connected with the case are presently at large.

Alfa Babatunde, and some others were remanded at Olokuta Prison in Akure by Magistrate Adeyanju
