Voiceof9ja:Can you tell us briefly your education background
Dr Adewoye:I completed my primary education in 1963 at saint peters Anglican primary school ilesha and secondary school education in 1968 at ilesha grammar school ijebu ode, And for my higher school certificate which I completed in 1970 in flying colors,I graduated From premier University, University of ibadan in 1974. I went back to University of ibadan In 1978-1979 and 1985-1986 to complete my post graduate diploma degree in statistics and master of science in statistics (MSc), I was later conferred with doctorate degree (PhD) in Administration by Evangel Christian University of America,Monroe ,Louisiana,USA in 2006.
Voice of 9janews: How did you start your professional Career
Dr Adewoye:I started my professional career with federal office of statistics now national bureau of statistics in 1975 after completion of the NYSC programme as STATISTICIAN GRADE 11 and I rose rapidly to become the youngest principal of federal school of statistics ibadan in 1979 -1989.
I rose rapidly to the top zenith of my career in 2003,as THE NATIONAL DIRECTOR OF SURVEY AND CENSUSES IN NIGERIA,a highly challenging and exciting assignment covering the whole country.
I had the unique privilege as the most senior director in my office before I retired in performing acting role of STATISCIAN GENERAL of the FEDERATION.
Voice of 9janews:what make you feel you can lead the community as CDA chairman,can you tell us apart from your previous career background,where and where you have contributed to a community or any society
Dr Adewoye:in my professional career,I have attended and contributed to a number of national and international courses programme in cities/country namely: Washington DC, New York USA, London UK,Rome(Italy), Geneva(Switzerland), Beijing (China), Amsterdam (Germany), Vienna(Austria), Rio-de Janeiro(Brazil), Paris (France) , Harare(Zimbabwe), Johannesburg (south Africa), Nairobi (Kenya), Entebbe (Uganda) ,Dakar (Senegal) ,Abidjan(ivory coast), Conakry (guinea), addis-ababa(Ethiopia), Accra (Ghana),banju (Gambia) and lome (Togo) which were mostly sponsored by Federal Government of Nigeria and some international Agencies.
I have great passion for my community wonderland estate ipaja Ayobo which I believe with the level of my exposure and connection,we can all join hand in Making wonderland estate a small London.
