I remain Segun Oni leader in Ekiti PDP- OLUJIMI

Just as a former Governor of Ekiti State,  Chief Segun Oni officially announced his return to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the Senator representing Ekiti South senatorial district,  Biodun Olujimi has insisted that she remained his (Oni) leader in the party.
Olujimi,  who spoke through her Spokesperson,  Chief Sanya Atofarati, said, as the highest ranking political office holder in the PDP in Ekiti State,  there was no contention as to her leadership of the party.
Atofarati had quoted a newspaper report in which Oni said “I have returned to PDP in Ekiti to make it stronger.”
He reacted; “All I know is that, as it stands today, Senator Biodun Olujimi is the highest ranking office (sic) of PDP in Ekiti State and the undisputed leader of the party.”
This reaction was circulated on Social Media, including the WhatsApp platform of Olujimi’s Ekiti PDP Repositioning Group, where many of her supporters like Mr.  Segun Akinwunmi, Dotun Bolarinwa and others have also expressed their rejection of Oni’s return to the PDP.
In 2018, immediately former Governor Ayodele Fayose left office and was still in Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC),  Olujimi had led insurrection against him (Fayose), declaring herself as leader of the PDP in Ekiti State.

This action had polarised the party and subsequently led her to orchestrating a court action against the Match 7, 2020 Ward Congress that was won by loyalists of Fayose.

With Olujimi taking the leadership quest to Oni,  it remains to be seen how she will fight and lord herself as leader of two former governors, under whom she served as Special Assistant,  Deputy Governor and Commissioner.
