One dies as hoodlums and armed robbers invade Alimosho
Hoodlums and armed robbers yesterday took over major areas of the Alimosho Local Government Council of Lagos State.
Hours before President Muhammadu Buhari announced an extension of two-week lockdown of Lagos due to coronavirus, one person has died and several people were in agony due to mobs actions.
According to eye witnesses, the death was as a result of fierce fight between miscrants and cultists.
"We know there has been hoodlums and armed robbers marauding and looting properties but the death yesterday of a man in Aboru was as a result of two cult groups", said an eye witness.
"They fought themselves because of argument resulting from the collection of money at the motor park.
"I tell you that in other areas, there were robberies as they went into peoples homes with dangerous weapons, including guns", another eye witness explained
The Aboru's incident led to the residents and passersby running helter skelter for their safety. Some residents even vacated the area.
We gathered last night that solders have been sent to the area to assist the police to arrest the ugly situation.
